Křivoklát Castle

Křivoklát is one of the oldest and most important medieval castles of Czech princes and kings. It is located at an altitude of 285-290 metres on a rocky promontory above the Rakovníkský Brook, a tributary of the Berounka River, in the territory of the municipality of Křivoklát in the Rakovník district of the Central Bohemian Region.

Viewpoint Paraplíčko

A beautiful viewpoint above the confluence of the Rakovnický Brook and the Berounka River near Křivoklát on a hill called Na Baba. It got its name from the shape of a gazebo with a conical roof. The view from Paraplíček is one of the most beautiful views of the Berounka River.

Máminka lookout tower

Máminka Lookout Tower is a 33-metre high wooden lookout tower located on the top of the Krušné hory (609 m above sea level), west of the centre of Beroun near the village of Hudlice in the Křivoklát Upland.

Lookout tower Děd

The Děd lookout tower is located on the Děd hill near the town of Beroun at an altitude of 492 metres above sea level. The top of the hill and most of the ridge lies in the cadastral area of Beroun, the western slope falls into Zahořany, part of the town of Králův Dvůr. It was inaugurated on 17 September 1893.

Točník Castle

Točník is a ruin of a castle in the Central Bohemian Region, 2 km north of the town of Žebrák, in the Beroun district. The castle was founded by Václav IV. Now it is owned by the state and is open to the public.

Lány Castle

The Lány Chateau is a Baroque building located on the southern outskirts of the village of Lány in the Kladno district of the Central Bohemia Region, west of Prague. The castle is situated on the northern edge of the vast Křivoklát forests (Křivoklát Protected Landscape Area).

V. n. Klíčava

The Klíčava Dam is situated in the valley of the Klíčava stream (at its linear km 13,100) in the woods near Křivoklát. In addition to the Klíčava, it is fed by the Lánský Brook and several smaller streams.

Ferry Branov

The Branov-V Luhu – Nezabudice ferry connects the left bank of the Berounka River near Nezabudice (about 0.7 km from the village) with the Ota Pavel Memorial Hall in Luhu, which falls under the municipality of Branov. The ferry is located on the river about 7 km above Křivoklát.

J. Fraňek Memorial Hall

The idea of creating the Jaroslav Fraňek Memorial Hall in Nezabudice was born in 1997, when a memorial plaque dedicated to this native of Nezabudice and founder not only of the inn, but also of the tradition of the place, which is still a popular tourist destination for paddlers and hikers, was unveiled on the building of the U Rozvědčíka inn by the Berounka River.

Ota Pavel Memorial Hall

In the glass showcases, you will get acquainted with Ota Pavel’s family, photographs from the filming of Death of the Beautiful Deer, covers of foreign prints of his books and his rootpods. Under the ceiling hangs the torso of an old ferry and fishing equipment from the past. You can record your impressions in a commemorative book and, if you wish, make a voluntary contribution.

Nezabudický mill

Who among fishermen, but also among the non-fishing public, would not know the film Zlatí úhoři (Golden Eels, 1979) inspired by the short stories of the writer Ota Pavel. One of the objects that “plays” in the film is the Nezabudický mill

Glassworks Rückl

Experience the glassworks. Take a peek into the world of unique production of traditional hand-cut Czech crystal and create together with the masters in the Rückl glassworks, whose tradition dates back to 1846.
